Photo of Church Our Savior Lutheran Church and School has served the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia areas for over 50 years. We are a congregation of over 600 members and are affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We offer many opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and serve the community both near and far.

We are especially proud of our expanded Day School, which offers a Christian education for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Our education program is accredited, and we offer one of the best values in private education in the Washington D.C. area. Some scholarship and tuition assistance funds are available.

Greetings from the Pastor:

JOURNEYING WITH CERTAINTY

Talk about uncertainty! Following a star, not knowing what they would find at the end of their journey, the magi set out to worship a newborn King. Maybe that isn’t such a bad pattern for living one’s life. Maybe you and I can be blessed by following a similar model. The star we look to isn’t in the sky, it’s in God’s Word. The journey doesn’t involve miles, it involves drawing our hearts near to God. And what might our lives look like if we made it our goal to worship the King throughout this new year? It’s not in a stable, but in Word & Sacrament where God has promised to be found today!
It is certain that the new year will be full of uncertainty—therefore, let us build our lives on the one certain thing: GOD’S LOVE FOR US IN JESUS CHRIST! Along the way we will find joy as we journey together.
