What Is the Strategic Ministry Plan?

On October 12, 2003 the Voters’ Assembly adopted a Strategic Ministry Plan (SMP) as our best understanding of God’s calling (work) for Our Savior Lutheran Church.
His calling, His plan is to be the foundation for ALL congregational decision-making.
- The leadership of the congregation and each board developed a response, their best understanding of God’s calling and plan for them.
- The leadership and boards alone, however, cannot accomplish God’s calling – they need each of us.
- Doing so will require a level of volunteerism and giving that we have never known as a congregation.
- Nevertheless, by God’s grace and nurture, we can respond to His calling.
When the Congregation adopted the SMP it also charged a Vision Team – Marion Ott, Toni Killinger, Bob Gnuse and Rich Kauzlarich – to be the conscience of the Congregation as we carry out God’s (not our) Plan.
We have just begun to scratch the surface and recognize that there is so much more God wants to accomplish through us.
